DJ Clue pulled up to Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion podcast to speak on his history and legacy in the music industry. On the way, he revealed a few little known facts. Here are the Top 9:

1. Clue is responsible for squashing Fat Joe and Jay Z beef. Apparently, he and Fat Joe were friends before he ever knew Jigga.

2. He’s a celebrity matchmaker; hooking Offset up with Cardi B, as well as La La with Carmelo Anthony.

3. The question mark man had his mixtape operation taken down years before DJ Drama.

4. He was doing business with Meek Mill when Drake dropped “Charged Up“, dismantling Meek while namedropping Clue. Meek was skeptical, as would anyone.

5. Cluemanati passed on signing Drake, Nicki Minaj and Young M.A when they were undiscovered… and doesn’t regret it.

6. Plenty of those classic DJ Clue freestyles were recorded at his Mom’s house.

7. Fabolous’ “Trade It All” almost didn’t happen, and the Queens, NY DJ protested the napkin bandana.

8. He doesn’t know what sparked the Jay Z, Nas beef (but G-HOLY.COM does).

9. Irv Gotti convinced Jay Z to change up bars on “Takeover” (then went on to “team up” with Nas against Hov, after making the “Supa Ugly” beat).
