Hot off his “Verzuz” performance, where the general consensus seems to be a big fat W for Big Sno, Jeezy is back! The sequel to the original “The Recession“, “The Recession 2” is lead by 2 street singles, “Therapy For My Soul” & “Almighty Black Dollar” featuring Rick Ross. Low on features, heavy on messaging. This may just be the gem we needed that we didn’t know was necessary to close out 2020 with some hope. Once again, Jeezy is right on time. #R2
French Montana continues his ‘Coke Boyz’ series with “CB5”. Unlike previous “CB” projects, its unclear who is actually in the group or if they even a group to speak of. It’s flat out missing new supposed signee Mr. Swipey. Meanwhile, fellow newbie LGP Qua only sees one track on CB5. Former Coke Boy affiliate and current trenches favorite, Lil Durk appears on 3 tracks. Regardless, it’s seems like a celebratory event with Max B, Chinx and Jim Jones all appearing on the tape. Tune into this gangster party.
